The Market
The Hideout trades faster and more often than any other community on this list because of its scale and its amenity package. Prices span a wide band, from modest chalets needing work to renovated lake-view homes. Annual assessments cover roads, security, central water and sewer, and recreation, and they are set annually by the association. Always request the current fee schedule and any pending special assessment in writing before closing.
Mark represents both sides inside The Hideout: sellers who need a listing priced against the right comps rather than a county average, and buyers who need to know what an amenity fee actually buys, which sections carry lake views, and how the resale market treats a chalet versus a year-round build.
Year-round homes, chalets and cabins in The Hideout — listed, staged, photographed and negotiated by one agent from start to close.
Straight answers on what lakefront, lake view and lake rights actually mean on this water, plus dock permitting and shoreline rules.
Comparative market analysis built from closed sales inside The Hideout — not a county-wide average that flatters or punishes your property.
Certified staging and drone, twilight and video work by a trained photojournalist. Most buyers see your house on a phone, from another state, first.
Remote showings, electronic signatures and a title company used to New York and New Jersey buyers who cannot make every appointment.
Buildable lots, acreage and rental-minded purchases, including a frank read on which associations and townships allow short-term rentals.
Life in The Hideout
Roamingwood Lake is a 198-acre private power-boating lake with water skiing and tubing. Deerfield Lake at about 25 acres and Brooks Lake at about 9 acres are quieter waters for kayaks and fishing. Add a golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis, two heated pools, two sand beaches, a ski hill with a tubing run, a fitness center, a clubhouse and lodge, campgrounds, an art center, a woodshop and a dog park. More than 40 miles of paved roads and roughly 250 acres of preserved woodland sit inside the gate.

Most owners and buyers in The Hideout live across a state line — North Jersey, Staten Island, the five boroughs and Long Island. That means showings are stacked into one trip, inspections happen without you, and closings run remotely. Mark builds every out-of-state file around that reality.
